Charlie-Anne's Day Out

Post by David Bock

UPDATE: The issues with the images should be fixed shortly. Please be patient. :)

What crazy weather? It's t-shirt temps outside but it's the middle of january. How strange. Around rolled lunch break today, so with Cathy at her day job and me at home running our design business (www.dcbock.com), I decided to take Charlotte-Anne, affectionately known as 'The Charlie Bunns' or 'Ninja Cat,' for a walk. By walk I mean open the door and and see where she waddles off to before stopping and eating grass for ten minutes. It seemed that she had a pretty good lay of the land around our home, knowing where our property ended and being sure not to go past it. Thankfully, she's not the kind of cat to up and run off because she never listens to what I tell her. Anyways here are some shots of todays fun in the sun... in January.

Charlie likes to stick her tongue out at me when I get a cute shot.

Charlie seemed very interested in every post and railing on our deck.

She also let me know this was her bad side.

Much better. Monorail Cat ready for departure!

Ms. Charlotte says, "Oh my... is that a bird feeder?"

When no birds fly into her mouth she lets me know we can go inside by jumping into a puddle below the railing. Somehow she comes out mud-free.

Check in next time for, Charlie-Anne and the Box of Terror! ..anyways, we had our little fun and then I had to get back to work. It was good while it lasted. Thankfully people are easier to direct than cats.

Our first day with the new camera!

Post by Cathy Bock

So, I finally have my hands on a digital SLR (early birthday presents are the best thing ever!), and I had a blast with it. It's so much better than our 35 mm SLRs! Today was really gross outside, but Dave and I trekked out anyway to play around with our brand new toy. It was also our first chance to explore some of the cool shops in downtown Bloomington since we moved here. So, here are the results from our shoot. Enjoy!

David's favorite!

I have to say that hot chai is the best thing on a cold day.

Me being impatient while Dave was taking a turn with my baby.

No, Ninja Cat!
Back in the house!

Okay, so maybe they're not going to be seen on the cover of any photo mags anytime soon, but we had a great time working it out on the streets o' Bloomington.
